Crane Out 2017

Sadly it's the end of another fine season of sailing. Crane out took place early on Tuesday 10th October 2017 and went without a hitch. Needless to say that there were a few nervous moments & faces although as a whole everything went to plan. Sparrow were in a position to supply a 200tn mobile crane for the exercise and this proved invaluable. Members pictures of the event are provided below. Some members will be happier than others with the level of work needed to make their pride & joy ship shape. Mentioning no names........ (Pete Emery). Here's looking forward to March 2018!

It is a nature reserve and the island is noted for its birds, including spotted redshank and whimbrel, which have a major night roost on the island. There you go...... Here are our club members, past & present, enjoying themselves and having a barbecue. They would go aground on the ebb tide, walk ashore and spend the night partying before returning to their vess
